Welcome to my photo blog of 10 months of living abroad with my husband Robert and our 16 year old daughter Hannah.
Follow our year in pictures as I add a photo a day for every day that we’re gone. For the most part the photos are taken on the day they represent though not always posted immediately. As well as pictures, there are excerpts from emails and journals intended to keep friends and family informed of our adventures.
June 2010 – We’re in Spain til the 11th of June, then on to France. This page is behind in pictures but they are coming as soon as I get caught up with sorting through the best of them.
May 2010 – May 1 started in Venice but from there on to Florence, Tuscany and then back to Spain. This month we meet up with good friends and family.
We met Sarah in Barcelona for our own celebration of her medical school graduation.
If you’re following along, feel free to add a comment to any of the pages. We always love to hear from anyone who’s taking the time to browse. Don’t be shy!
April 1 – 15, 2010 – Wow, April’s come and gone. We moved back to Europe and so this chapter is all about our time in Rome, Naples, and into Sicily. April 16 – 30, 2010 continues on in Sicily and then to wonderful, beautiful, enchanting Venice and our friends James and Mary in Tuscany.
We’re happy to be back in Europe although we truly miss all of our friends in Mexico.
March 2010 – Las chicas (Lucy, Cierra, Sarah & Rosie) nos visitan aqui en Akumal. I’ll be turning this journal page upside down shortly.
February 2010 – our venture into Belize and then back “home” to Akumal
January 2010 – a new month, a new year but still away
December 2009 – our first full month in Akumal.
November 2009 – leaving Mallorca, landing in “disneyland-Mexico” and then moving back to reality in Akumal.
October 2009 – the month in Mallorca, Spain from the 1st through to the 31st..
September 2009 – New York, London and then arriving in Mallorca, Spain
August 2009 – Leaving home on August 28th and landing in New York.
Best pics! Just some weird and wonderful pics that don’t necessarily fit into the photo blog.
